jackygerz I first discovered Paul through mc-sal and then as a member of adiehl’s trio and am happy to support his first solo venture; easy, swinging, repeatable, listening just like he said, perfect for the times. Favorite track: When I Grow too Old to Dream.

Anaid Mendoza I feel like I was already familiar with "Im in the Mood for Love", somehow. Anyone else? Thanks for the passion you put into this, buddy. Congratulations to the musicians who collaborated as well! Favorite track: Rile's Wiles.

tvdinnersbythepool NY swing at its finest. The arrangements beautifully feature the horns without being too crowded, the phrasing feels relaxed but is always tightly swinging at the same time, a hard balance to find — all floating above a strong lower end! Favorite track: When I Grow too Old to Dream.

about

Paul Sikivie New York, New York

I play double bass and write music, and it mostly would be called jazz or BAM (Black American Music). I was based in Brooklyn until this pandemic (2020), but now I’m a bit harder to pin down. Some of the musicians I’ve been involved with include Cecile McLorin Salvant, Aaron Diehl, Matt Wilson, Grant Stewart, and Johnny O’Neal. ... more
